I often get asked about our favorite playgrounds, so I thought I'd share my family's top five playgrounds and parks in Woodstock with you.
The Downtown Playground
809 Market Street
Woodstock, GA 30188
What we love about Downtown Playground:
Tucked right behind downtown Woodstock (by the Elm Street Green), the Downtown Playground has become a favorite "pit stop" for our family. Whenever we are in the downtown Woodstock area for errands or just to stroll through the shops, we always make this playground a part of the deal for the kiddos. This nature-based play environment boasts climbing mounds, tunnels, musical features, and a jungle explorer dome that is sure to please the kids!

J.B. Owens Park
2699 Hickory Road
Holly Springs, GA 30115
What we love about J.B. Owens:
In My kids lovingly refer to J.B. Owens as "the broccoli playground" as its playground structures have a nature/tree theme and, to be honest, the trees look a little like broccoli. We frequent this park in Holly Springs because it's close to home, it's clean, and it's spacious yet quaint. The playground in encircled by a walking path so I could push the baby in the stroller while staying a shout away from my older kids. There is a larger walking path, a paved nature trail that leads to a small creek, multiple pavilions with picnic tables aplenty, and restrooms right next to the playground. There's also a nice grassy area, so bring a ball or frisbee!
Amenities at J.B. Owens:
- Restrooms
- Walking Path
- Natural creek
- Pavilions with picnic tables
- Playground
- Green space
Kidzstock Park
11905 Highway 92
Woodstock, GA 30188
What we love about Kidzstock:
The very best thing about this park is the way it appeals to all ages! The Tot Lot is spacious and has wooden structures that resemble a city (think train depot and fire station) with low monkey bars, slides and swings galore. The larger play area features a seemingly endless, multi-level castle and boat structure that allow for some phenomenal imaginative play. There are musical play features, a climbing wall, a basketball court, plenty of seating (though you may even be inspired to play), and slides -- all encompassed by a fence so there is only one way in and out, a safety feature that I personally LOVE.
Amenities at Kidzstock Park:
- Fenced
- GREAT Tot Area!
- Climbing Structures
- Benches
- Walking/Scooter Path
- Basketball Court
- Rock Climbing Wall
- Restrooms with Changing Tables
- Covered Pavilions
- Picnic Tables
Dupree Park
513 Neese Road
Woodstock, GA 30188
What we love about Dupree Park:
In There are a few reasons I love Dupree Park, the most significant being that there is a large pond for fishing (with a fishing dock) and my kiddos love to go and see the geese and ducks that live here. I also love that there are outdoor fitness stations- not that I use them ever, but it makes me smile that there is such a thing! This Woodstock park also features a multi-level playground that has a pirate ship-type theme with slides from the upper to the lower level. You have to see it to believe it! Oh, and if you have a toddler that likes to run off, you will so appreciate that the playground is enclosed with only one way in and out!
Amenities at Dupree Park:
- Pavilions
- Outdoor Fitness Stations
- Disc Golf Course
- Playground
- Fishing pond with dock
- Walking track
JJ Biello The Valley Playground

You'll find swings, slides, climbing structures, monkey bars and more and it's sure to please children of all ages.
