'Miles from Tomorrowland' premiers Friday, February 6th at 9 a.m/8 Central on Disney Junior on the Disney Channel.

Wow! I can't begin to describe how honored I am to have been a part of such a huge Atlanta area success! Ten of us Atlanta area Macaroni Kid publishers hosted a Miles from Tomorrowland Premier Party this past weekend at Fernbank Science Center & Planetarium. I had the pleasure of meeting nearly 500 subscribers from all over Atlanta! This is one of the things I love most about being a Macaroni Kid publisher is meeting each and every one of the people whose lives we impact by providing such a fabulous resource and opportunities such as these!

Check out this fun group!!! **Bonus points if you can find me in this pic!

Thank you to all who attended. A very special thanks to Jena Golden Photography for photographing the event. As well as Fernbank Science Center for sharing their wonderful venue with so many of our loyal and amazing families from all over the Atlanta area!

Our morning started with family check-ins and photo booth ops! As you can see the kids loved posing for space themed pics.

Once each family had their photos taken they were able to find a seat in the planetarium and prepare for a blast off into Tomorrowland with Miles and his friends! The premiere was projected on the planetarium ceiling for viewing and kids and parents alike enjoyed watching Miles and his family and best friend Merc learn how important it is to work together to complete their mission and solve problems. Not only is this show educational and sparks interests of kids to learn more about space and galaxies, but it also has great life lessons for all ages.

Immediately following the Miles from Tomorrowland episode, Fernbank treated all our guests to a fun Planetarium show with a twist. Not your usual planetarium show, Perfect Little Planet is a kid-friendly animated adventure that takes you inside the life a family (of aliens) from another galaxy searching for the perfect vacation spot. The family is on a mission and learns about different planets, walks on the moon and many other fun space topics.

After the showings, families were invited to join us out in the museum area for Miles from Tomorrowland activities and to explore the Science Center.

I watched as children were drawn in by their surroundings and the hands-on learning that Fernbank has to offer.

I highly recommend taking the family when you get the chance. Fernbank Science Center has so much for all ages. You and your children will love it. And if you'd like to check out the Perfect Little Planet Plantarium show we viewed, it's showing every Saturday at 2 p.m. You can see the full Planetarium schedule HERE
