REVIEW: Cuisinart® Elemental 11- cup Food Processor

In our household my husband is the chef. He's always loved cooking and finds providing delicious meals for his family a relaxing and enjoyable experience. It's always a pleasure to sit around the dinner table as a family and enjoy his creations. From simple to elaborate recipes I'm astonished at how he can create meals from ingredients he "throws together" that we have around the house.

One of my husband's wishes has been to have a food processor. We don't have many large "gadgets" around the house and I've always been a bit intimidated by a food processor, assuming that you had to create over the top dishes when using one. I was quickly proven wrong when we put our Cuisinart® Elemental 11 Food Processor to the test this Thanksgiving.

A Thanksgiving favorite of ours is sweet potato casserole. The brown sugar pecan topping on it is the best part in my opinion and I'm always begging to double the topping recipe because everyone loves the extra crunchy sweetness. This year I figured we would use the food processor to prepare the topping. The Cuisinart® Elemental 11 Food Processor was quick at the mixing and processing and easily accommodated the large amount we needed for our family sized dish. Within seconds it was ready to pour on top.

Cleanup after was a breeze as well. All the pieces come apart for easy cleaning and are dishwasher safe. I especially love that. However, I chose to hand wash all the pieces and I loved that all the parts were easily detached and came thoroughly clean. I was worried that there would be food stuck in crevices and it would be difficult to clean but that simply wasn't the case at all.

As you can see the topping turned out perfect and the sweet potato casserole was one of the favorites of the night. Thank you Cuisinart for making our holidays a bit simpler and more enjoyable during cooking and cleaning!

For the morning after Thanksgiving my husband even made homemade hashbrowns. These too are one of our family favorites for breakfast. My husband whipped up some shredded potatoes to make hashbrowns for breakfast using the food processor and once again, the talk of the meal.

I can see how the Cuisinart® Elemental 11 Food Processor will become my husband's new best friend in the kitchen! Even I'm thinking of new recipes we can try so I can put it to work! We may have to do some more holiday baking this weekend.

Merry "early" Christmas honey!
